There is a secret place deep in the heart of Mossycup Wood. Poggle Hollow is a place that not many people know about. The ones who do, keep it very hush hush. The Pogglewitt live in this very secret place. They are tiny, friendly, fun-loving folk. They live in nests that they place on the highest branches of the oldest trees.

Frogbit and the Big Gloop is the first book in the series of the Tales of Mossycup. This book follows Frogbit the Pogglewitt who lives on the banks of Poggle Pool.

What We Love About Frogbit and the Big Gloop?

This is a lovely story of how Frogbit tries to catch his supper. Things don’t really go to plan and things get a little interesting for Frogbit. In the chaos and by pure luck Frogbit manages to catch his supper.

I love that the author has also created the images used in this book. Based on dolls that she made in 2014 she is really bringing the world of Mossycup Wood alive.

At the end of the book, we are introduced to two other Pogglewitt characters, Spiderwort and Butterfly-pea. I’m sure we will be following them on adventures in the future.
