With the children being older it is been nice to play family games with them. We have to make sure they aren’t too complicated so that we can all play and enjoy them. We were asked to review the game Yeti In My Spaghetti and we thought it would be a good game choice for our family.
Yeti In My Spaghetti
Can you remove the noodles without being the one to let the Yeti fall into the bowl?
Yeti In My Spaghetti is a game for 2 or more players aged 4 and up.
- 1 Yeti
- 1 Bowl
- 30 Noodles
How To Play Yeti In My Spaghetti
To set up the game place the bowl on a flat surface. Lay the noodles across the top of the bowl. Cris-crossing the noodles in a random way. Gently place the yeti on the center of the noodles.
The oldest player takes their turn first. They must carefully and strategically remove a noodle. This can be done by slipping, pushing and lifting the noodle. Do not disturb the yeti and let him fall into the bowl!
- If you touch a noodle that is the one you must remove. There must be no touching and testing the placement of the noodles.
- You can use both hands to remove the noodle but you can only use one hand at a time.
If the player successfully removes a noodle without the yeti falling into the bottom of the bowl the player to the left then takes their turn.
If the yeti falls to the bottom of the bowl during your turn, or immediately after your turn, the game is over.
The player who successfully removed the last noodle before the player who made the yeti fall is the winner!
What Did Little E Love About Playing ‘Yeti In My Spaghetti’?
Little E loved playing this game with me. She thinks it’s very funny to distract me whilst I’m trying to remove the noodles. She also happily plays this game on her own, trying to keep the yeti on top of the spaghetti.
What Did We Love About Playing ‘Yeti In My Spaghetti’?
We love that this is a game that everyone in our family can understand and play. We have played as a family and I have played with just Little E. The rules are very simple to understand and playing this game has been a good way for the children to work on their turn taking.
