I know, I know, it’s still November (just), but today we decided to put up our Christmas tree.
If only the guys from work could see me now, our tree wouldn’t normally make it’s appearance until two weeks before Christmas day.
With Ethan’s arrival our tree started to go up on the 1st of December, we would put it up when he was in bed. Last year, to try to make him more aware of Christmas, he helped us with the Christmas tree. It was a very stressful event and my morning sickness really didn’t help.
Our tree has always been decorated in silver and white and Darren has always complained that it needed colour. This year Darren got his wish. To help prepare Ethan for the Christmas Tree’s arrival we have been buying new decorations for the past few weeks, letting Ethan choose items that he liked. This even included new lights and Ethan picked the colour, he decided on blue.
We decided to put our tree up today as we wanted Ethan to help again. This weekend was the only time that we would all be together long enough for the task. It has taken most of the day but here is our 2014 Christmas Tree with an added splash of colour.
Thankfully putting up the Christmas Tree wasn’t so stressful this year, but we did do it in stages. I even made a time lapse video of our decorating.
That looks like fun, and I’m glad it wasn’t as stressful this time! I like to get ours up for 1 December but I’ve failed this year, hopefully it will go up this week though 🙂 Hope you enjoy the added splash of colour x
I can’t believe how early we put it up now, I suppose that’s what children do to you ;0) x
