To help celebrate our Halloween at home I ordered us another afternoon tea from the Cardamon Tea Lounge. I ordered one to help celebrate Ethan’s 10th birthday in lock-down. This time the lovely lady from Cardamon was creating Hocus Pocus kids boxes. I ordered two for the children and special afternoon tea treat boxes for us adults as her scones are amazing.
Our Halloween Afternoon Tea
The Hocus Pocus boxes were full with lots of Halloween themed goodies. Inside the children found two Halloween shaped sandwiches. One was a bat and the other a tombstone. Our choice of filling was ham, no butter for Ethan.
There was also a chocolate mini muffin with a covering of oreo dust with a gummy worm coming out of the top. There was also a vampire mini donut and lots of Halloween themed sweets including a lollypop, gummies, and chocolates.
Just like before the afternoon tea’s arrival was perfect for lunch. I couldn’t wait to see what the children would think of their Halloween afternoon tea.
To my surprise Ethan quickly got stuck into his afternoon tea. This wasn’t the case with his birthday one but I think that was because he was expecting a chocolate cake. Eating ham sandwiches is new for him, something that began on our trip to Disneyland Paris in August.
Little E was more cautious. I think this was because she was very aware this year that Halloween is a ‘scary’ time of the year. She possibly thought this afternoon tea was more trick than treat.
Our treats were in the form of the Wonderland Box. We both had one of these! Filled with two heart-shaped scones and mini wonderland cakes. Brownie pieces and a selection of sweets and biscuits.
Our eyes were clearly bigger than our bellies! We were able to make our treats last for three days. Just like before they tasted absolutely amazing.
The Cardamon Tea Lounge is also creating Elf themed treat boxes for Christmas. I’m hoping to book some for the children I just need to sort out our budget and date availability.
