Ethan loves reading and he loves his iPad so how could we turn down the opportunity to review an app that combines the two?
Back in the summer notonthehighstreet.com launched an app for the iPhone called ‘Storytime Sounds’. The app is free to download from the app store and is designed to bring an extra element of fun to story time for families with children aged 3-7 .
The app currently features 5 soundboards for different storytelling themes, pirates, fairytales, lost world, space and monsters.
But they have recently launched an update which sees the addition of a sixth soundboard for Halloween.
As with all app’s I download them when Ethan is in bed and leave it for Ethan to discover his new toy. He knows his iPad inside out and he found this app the very next morning.
We have used the app when reading his favourite books, finding the sounds we think suit the story.
There are lots of different sounds to use and many of them have had Ethan in fits of giggles. This app really has brought his books to life. The new Halloween sounds are perfect to use in the build up to Halloween. You can even use them to make up your own ghostly stories.
notonthehighstreet.com have even written a short story to get you started.
Great review and I love Ethan’s outfit. We’re off to a Halloween event put on by Notonthehighstreet this afternoon 🙂
