Visiting The Gruffalo Trail At Thorndon Country Park

Before Little E started school she was set some summer holiday homework. This term they will be reading the book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen. The homework set was to go on your own hunt to share your experience with your new friends. We decided to take her to the Gruffalo trail at Thorndon Country Park as we knew both children would enjoy it. We have visited the Gruffalo trail a few times but we knew Little E would be too young to remember those trips. Our Visit To The Gruffalo Trail We visited Thorndon Country Park on a Sunday afternoon. Siblings September 2018

September is here and it has brought with it lots of change for our siblings and a family as a whole. At the start of the month Ethan returned to school to start year 4. This week they are on the letter B so… B is for Birthday Cake! Ethan’s 1st Birthday – Toy Story Theme For Ethan’s first birthday we decided to go for a Toy Story theme. This isn’t something he was into at the time, more like something I have a love for. I…

Gruffalo Hunting – Thorndon Country Park

My new party trick was to recite this book word for word.  With all of Ethan’s obsessions we do indulge them as its nice to have something to enjoy, and connect with him.  Last year I noticed that some of my facebook friends were posting pictures of themselves with a Gruffalo and with the realisation my Dad knew where the Gruffalo was, we set off to find him.  Armed with the map provided we started our…
