Thinking Slimmer 12 Week Challenge – Week 3 Update

It’s week 3 of my Thinking Slimmer 12 week challenge. Every night I have continued to listen to my slimpod to retrain my thinking and keep me focused on my goals.

The three goals I have set for myself are

1) Feel fitter and be able to run around with my children with ease

2) Drink less tea and more water

3) Drop a dress size

This is what I have been up to over the past week

Wii Fit and EA Active

I’m sad to say I have had to stop the EA Active 30 day challenge as my knees and lower legs have been really hurting. I decided it was best to rest my legs until they feel better. I had another two days rest but I continue to do the Wii Fit aerobic exercises, I do this for at least 30 minutes a day.

Tea Drinking

I’m still only drinking four cups of tea a day, sometimes this can reduce to three. I need to increase my water intake and did today have water when I did want another cup of tea.

Chocolate

I really wanted one of Ethan’s kinder chocolate bars the other day and it was actually in my hand. I very pleased to report I didn’t eat it. In-fact I have not eaten any chocolate this week and there are even Easter bits starting to collect around the house. Apart from the kinder incident, I don’t feel bothered about chocolate and it is easy to say no.

Cereal Before Bed

I still haven’t broken this habit, it’s a very old habit. I think I might had to go cold turkey on this one!

Weight-loss vs Measurements

It was an up and down week again on my weight loss according to the Wii. I haven’t lost any weight this week but my BMI has decreased. I have also lost some CM’s but some measurements have stayed the same, and I have gained on my thigh measurements.

Todays BMI – 30.59

Week 3 weight-loss – No loss

Chest Measurement – No loss

Waist Measurement – 2.5 cm lost

Bicep Measurement – No loss

Hip Measurement – 1.25 cm lost

Thigh Measurement -2 cm gained

I feel the fact that I have had to drop running will affect my weight loss. I’m going to let my knees recover and then pick it up again. I’m happy that my BMI is going down and according to the wii I wasn’t that far from loosing a 1 lb this week.

  1. Wow it sounds like you’re doing great, well done you! And don’t beat yourself up about resting your knees & legs, you’d only end up regretting it if you didn’t. x
