Thinking Slimmer 12 Week Challenge – Week 2 Update

It’s week 2 of my Thinking Slimmer 12 week challenge. Every night I have continued to listen to my slimpod to retrain my thinking and keep me focused on my goals.

The three goals I have set for myself are

1) Feel fitter and be able to run around with my children with ease

2) Drink less tea and more water

3) Drop a dress size

This is what I have been up to over the past week

Wii Fit and EA Active

I had to give the Wii Fit a miss for two days this week as the running part of the exercise is taking its toll on my lower legs. I have decided to drop the running from the EA Active 30 day challenge and have changed the running to boxing on my daily Wii Fit routine. I figured it was better to keep up my other exercises than not do any activity at all.

Tea Drinking

I’m easily only drinking four cups of tea a day now, today I actually only had three. I do need to up my water intake but I’m very impressed with how easy it feels to not drink as much tea.


I was doing so well with chocolate but we had dinner at my mum’s and she had Rolo chocolate desserts for us. I felt like I could have easily given this treat a miss but decided to treat myself. On a positive note I now open the fridge and don’t even notice Ethan’s chocolate in there.

Cereal Before Bed

I still haven’t broken this habit, I’m working on it!

Weight-loss vs Measurements

It was an up and down week again on my weight loss according to the Wii. I have lost CM’s again but on one measurement I have increased!

Todays BMI – 30.70

Week 2 weight-loss – 1 lb

Chest Measurement – 3.25 cm lost

Waist Measurement – 1.25 cm lost

Bicep Measurement – 2 cm lost

Hip Measurement – 1.25 cm gained

Thigh Measurement – 0.2 cm lost

I have no idea how my hip measurement has increased but the good thing is I did lose weight this week. I’m very happy that I’m losing inches, I just hope dropping the running doesn’t stop this.
