Word Of The Week – Heart

I’m a little late with this post but that’s because last week threw me out even more than normal. So last week our word of the week was

Heart

as it was time for my dad to give us all a scare.

This year really hasn’t started well for us as far as illness is concerned. It all started with Little E’s hand, foot and mouth infection and since then it really has been one thing after another. It feels like Darren has been hit the hardest especially with his scare the other week.

Last week is was my dad’s turn to be taken to the hospital with a heart scare. He ended up being admitted due to his heart having an abnormal heart rhythm. He has already suffered a heart attack many years ago so as you can image this news was pretty scary for us all.

I’m pleased to say that the medication they gave him corrected his heart beat and he was finally discharged on Friday evening.

2016 has really been a rough start and a little rest from the illness would be nice. This past week has also driven home that I need to get fitter for my children so I’m hoping that I’m starting to make small changes in the right direction.

  1. 2016 really has been a tough start for you, I’m sure you’ll be glad to say goodbye to winter and hopefully the lighter, warmer weather brings some needed cheer.
I’m so glad your Dad is ok and the medication is providing some balance, but you’re right there is nothing like a bit of exercise to keep things ticking over.
I hope your week gets better xx
