Word Of The Week – Unsettled

This week our word of the week has to be

Unsettled

as Ethan has been really unsettled all week. He started getting out of sorts two days before the end of the Christmas holidays. We needed to get him out of the house and found ourselves waiting for soft play to open on New Years day. I think the date changing on the iPad really unnerved him.

Thankfully he went back to school on the second. We hoped that having his routine back would help but it didn’t. I think we face another weekend of trying to keep him busy so that we can keep the rest of us calm.

Little E was missing nursery and her friends. She kept asking about it with Ethan’s return to school. She went back to nursery on Thursday which she was very happy about.

I went into London this week to visit the office. I think the last time I visited was in the summer. It was nice to catch up with everyone and I got to go out for a girlie lunch. With the children back at school we also were able to escape to the cinema today. We decided to watch Jumanji which we both really enjoyed. I like that they didn’t just remake the original film. There was also a reference for Robin Williams‘s character form the original film which I thought was a really nice touch.

  1. Oh dear, I hope Ethan manages to settle again soon, it must all be so disruptive for him. Glad that Little E’s back into the swing of things. I do like the look of Jumanji, I’m sure we’ll see it soon too x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

awww, sorry to hear that your son is struggling, hopefully with time and calmness things can settle down.
Sounds like you had a lovely time going out for lunch and visiting the cinema X #wotw
