Last weekend we finally got the chance to have a beach day at Walton-on-the-Naze. Millie’s Beach Huts invited us to review a beach hut for the day. We are lucky as we get the chance to hire a beach hut for a day every year for Ethan. This is from our local council. Millie’s Beach Huts are different. The Minnie Mouse Beach Hut
The Minnie Mouse beach hut is situated at Eastcliff, Walton-on-the-Naze. It is a second-row beach hut with an enclosed decking area, perfect for watching the world go by. It is also close to the public toilets, a water tap, and a cafe. You can easily spot the Minnie Moise beach hut as it is painted red with white spots.
As with all of the beach huts you can hire from Millie’s Beach Huts, they are filled with everything you need for a perfect day at the beach. The only items that you are advised to bring with you are milk for tea and coffee. Tea towels for drying up and black bin bags for your rubbish.
In every beach hut, there is a kitchen dresser full of everything you could possibly need. There is tea, coffee, and sugar. Plates, bowls, cups, mugs, a teapot, cutlery,
If you are wondering how you can make yourself a cup of tea whilst at the beach. There is a little gas hob and a kettle ready and waiting for you to use.
There is even a frying pan and saucepan so that you can cook yourself lunch or dinner. We took hotdog sausages and hotdog buns with us, the perfect lunch for the kids!
Minnie Mouse Theming
Both children loved the Minnie Mouse theming. It was absolutely perfect for Disney fans like me but not too overpowering for the non-Disney believers. I’m sure they would happily have a cup of tea in the Minnie Mouse beach hut if you invite them along.

Our Day At Walton-on-the-Naze
Our trip to the Minnie Mouse beach hut was the first time we had taken the children to spend time on the beach at Walton-on-the-Naze. I have spent time there when I was younger but our go-to beaches are normally Clacton and Frinton.
Walton’s beach is lovely. You have to walk down the steps to get onto the beach but that is like most of the beaches in the area that we visit.
The sand is also very nice, Clacton beach can sometimes contain many stones. This beach was full of lovely shells and Little E had lots of fun collecting them.
It was a warm day but there was quite a chill factor with the wind. This meant our time on the beach was short. The beach hut meant we were able to relax in the warm with a view.
Having a beach hut to return to really does make us make the most of our time at the beach.
The Children Loved Their Visit To The Minnie Mouse Beach Hut
The children are always excited when a beach hut is included in a visit to the beach. They couldn’t believe their eyes when they walked in and everything was Minnie Mouse themed.
They loved being able to have a hot lunch there. Ethan claimed his place on the beach hut deck in the sun.
Little E also discovered a Minnie Mouse themed snakes and ladders board game. She had lots of fun playing this game with me and her dad.
We had a lovely time in the Minnie Mouse beach hut and such a perfect view for the day.
We discovered that there is nothing better at the beach than a cup of tea in a Minnie Mouse mug!
