Dear Ethan,
This month you tuned eight. Eight! It feels like such a big number, so close to ten and the double-digit numbers I remember craving to reach when I was a child. Your seventh year was a busy one, and one that has flown by.
There have been big changes for you this past year. You moved up into the junior section of the school which you have found a little difficult to adjust to but I hope you are enjoying the change it has brought with it. This did mean you were able to go on your very first residential camping trip. That adventure happened last week and I think you found it a positive experience.
Your swimming has really improved and you have gained swimming certificates for swimming both 10 and 50 metres. You have also had the chance to experience horse riding at school and it is something that you really enjoy.
Your seventh year was also full of Disney adventures and we were very lucky to get the chance to visit both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris. You got to experience so many things on both trips and my highlight was the pirate makeover as it was the first time you let someone paint your face.
You are making good progress with your speech and communication. I really hope that this improvement makes things easier for you and the world around you more accessible.
I hope that you enjoy your eighth year as much as your seventh. I feel it has a lot to live up to! We did start the year celebrating your birthday at Legoland Windsor which was lots of fun.
Wishing you a very happy birthday beautiful boy!
Ah happy birthday! It looks like you had a great 7th year in the world!

Happy birthday from me as well, it sounds like you’ve been to some great theme parks.
