Ethan is a real Daddy’s boy and loves tormenting spending time with his Grandad whenever he can. We know that Ethan knows who Daddy is, as he says the word Daddy on quite a few occasions. We have also, sometimes, had the word Grandad and they are always used in the right context.
However I have never really known if Ethan knows who Mummy is.
Ethan has recently been paying attention to our wedding photos in my mum’s house and we have started asking him Where is Daddy? Ethan reaches up to the photo and sometimes says Daddy.
Recently, whilst waiting to leave for nursery, we have been asking Ethan to point out Daddy in our wedding photos. This has progressed to pointing out Mummy, Nanny, Grandad and Mickey Mouse. Yes you read that right, Mickey Mouse was at our wedding!
I’m over the moon at this development as I now know that Ethan knows I’m his Mummy, something that I was never sure of before.
A small step but an amazing achievement for me.
That must feel absolutely brilliant for you 🙂
Really lovely. It is such a joy to have that identification and connection. I’m so happy for you!
How lovely and so very special for you.
Well done Ethan! x
Yey Ethan, I love it when they show you they do understand without the need to say it, its reassuring to us I think that they understand x
Ah that must be a great feeling. Well done Ethan!
A very special development I think!
You must share that wedding pic! It’s wonderful that he’s not only learning new things but also expressing them. Looking forward to reading more of Ethan’s achievements!
