Last week Darren nearly stood on discovered a frog in the garden and screamed like a banshee called me out to take a look.
He had been keeping cool from the sun under Ethan’s slide.
We brought Ethan out to have a look at our new friend, Ethan thought he was very funny when he jumped.
We wanted to take him down to the river so he would be near the water and in the shade but with all the chaos of Ethan flapping with excitement and Darren trying to catch him, the frog disappeared under the fence.
Later in the afternoon the frog was found again in our garden. Ethan was even braver this time when he said hello and picked him up.
After introducing Ethan to the frog, with a little help of Grandma and Grandpa, the frog was safely returned to the river.
Another water fan – that’s why Ethan liked the frog so much! How brave of him to pick the frog up too. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
We really wasn’t expecting him to pick it up, but I’m glad he wasn’t scared of the frog. Thanks for hosting ;0)
Could we borrow him? Monkey is still so upset that frogs have never moved into our wildlife pond #CountryKids
If he comes back I will send him your way ;0). We normally have lots of baby frogs in the spring but the river was disturbed this year so it didn’t happen.
What a great find, such a fun thing for Ethan to see and experience. I’m glad you were able to return him safely to the river 🙂 #CountryKids
We do see quite a bit of nature now that we are close to the river. I think it’s great for Ethan to experience :0)
What a great thing to find in the garden! I think I would have screamed like a banshee too! #countrykds
lol I did have to laugh when my husband did that!
Oh wow – a braver boy than me – I would not be found picking up a frog, just the thought of it makes me twitch!
My husband feels the same, they don’t bother me. Spiders on the other hand…
Oh Ethan was brave. My friend is petrified of them.
I have discovered that lots of people are ;0) x
