A Siblings Walk – Frinton on Sea

I’m trying to get braver with our Sibling Project photos and capture the children out and about more. So for January’s Sibling photo we took the children to Frinton-on-Sea. It was a very windy and it was freezing cold but I managed to capture this moment with our siblings. We wasn’t at the beach for long as it was just too cold but I did manage to take a few photos of our time there. Using the GoPro I was also able to capture our walk on video. I do love the freedom the GoPro gives us, it keeps our hands free so we can keep our children safe and…

Frinton on Sea – Our New Years Day Tradition

We don’t have many traditions but there are some things that are definitely starting to become traditions in our family. Our favorite one being our New Years Day visit to see the sea. I always feel that we are stuck in the house between Christmas and New Year’s. The days have a nothingness feel to them and visiting the sea really makes you feel like you are starting a fresh new year. What was different, and lovely, about this year is that my brother and his family were also able to join us. I checked the high and low tide times as I wanted to make sure we would be…

Little E’s First Walk Along The Beach

We were really let down during the summer holidays with the weather. This meant that most, if not all of my planned days and walks along the beach didn’t really happen. It can also be quite overwhelming having to keep both Ethan and Little E safe in busy areas, meaning we were very restricted in the summer and Little E stayed in her buggy whilst out and about. I promised myself, with Ethan back at school, we would get Little E out of her buggy more giving her the chance to walk. Yesterday we took full advantage of the sunny weather and made our way to Clacton Sea front. At…

Shaun The Sheep – Summer Screen

At the beginning of July Colchester Castle Park put a big screen up to show the Wimbledon tennis matches. They also showed a selection of films over one of the weekends and they were showing Shaun The Sheep on the Sunday. We purchased tickets and had a picnic in the park planned before the film started. Unfortunately the morning of the film the rain started and it looked like it was going to stay for the day. I was so disappointed and we ended up having our picnic in the front room. Whilst we ate an amazing thing happened and the sun slowly decided to make an appearance. We decided…

Clacton Pier – The Big Rides!

Last Sunday we wanted to get out of the house and headed to Clacton for some fresh air. We ended up on the pier so Darren tried to talk me into letting Ethan go on some of the rides that he is now big enough for. We have had this discussion the last few times we have visited the pier and I have always said no but this time I gave in. We purchased some tokens and headed over to a ride called Techno Jump. The only was I can describe this ride is like spider legs that jump up and down. It’s not on my to do list! Ethan…
