I have never been a shoe girl. My wardrobe isn’t filled with endless rows of shoes that are ready and waiting for every occasion. I would normally have one pair of trainers that I would wear every day and another pair that I love the look of but would hurt my feet when worn for long hours. In the warmer weather I will switch from trainers to my croc sandals. I haven’t been able to find anything that matches the comfort crocs have given me since having children. The shape of my feet definitely changed with each pregnancy.
Snow Boots
Snow boots were something I added to my shoe collection quite a few years ago when I knew I would have to walk to work in any potential snow during the winter months. I had to buy new snow boots this year due to normal wear and tear. It was perfect timing with the Beast From the East’s arrival and they were also perfect for taking to Disneyland Paris during our February trip. I do love my snow boots they are so comfortable and keep my feet nice and warm when it is so cold outside.
Walking Boots/Shoes
Knowing that we were going to Disneyland Paris when it was going to be very cold I wanted to get a warmer shoe than my normal trainers. I started to look at walking boots but decided on more of a shoe style as I already had my snow boots. I picked some Karrimor Hot Rock walking shoes from the walking boot/shoe collection.
Wedge Boots
It really was a boot-buying season for me this year and I decided to add a smarter boot to my shoe collection. As much as I love my trainers they aren’t always the most appropriate shoe choice. I opted for some boots with a wedge that also have a faux fur trim. I thought they would also help to keep me warm in the colder weather.
Adding Knee High Boots to My Growing Boot Collection
The last time I had a pair of knee-high boots I was a teenager, I won’t tell you how long ago that was! They were the ‘in thing’ to have and my group of friends all had them. I haven’t revisited the thought of owning knee-high boots since that time. I didn’t think they were the appropriate footwear for my office and I didn’t want them to go unused. Being that I now work from home I have been looking at knee-high boots and have been browsing the Uppersole Knee High Boots website.
To me, it’s all in the details so I quite like the look of the Women’s Black Stretch Layered Calf Boots With Mid Block Heel And Buckle Detail. They come in a range of UK sizes and you can also select from Faux Leather, Faux Suede and Patent.
I also like the idea of a higher heel on my boots. It’s always nice to add to my height a little. So I quite like the look of the High Block Heel Stretch Calf Riding Boots. These are available in a range of UK sizes but only come in Faux Suede.
Considering I thought I wasn’t really into shoes that much, my shoe and boot collection has grown considerably this past year!
