I was thinking that March 2021 was a quiet month for our siblings. It was for our family as we are still in lockdown with only Mother’s Day and my birthday to celebrate this month. But March was the month that both of our siblings went back to school.
Ethan’s return to school was in February. He found it very unsettling that it was just him going back to school. When Little E returned to school this month he was happier. This meant we were back in the routine of daily school runs. He loves our daily walks. This month Ethan had two dress-up days for school. They had a pyjama day to celebrate World Book Day. They could also dress up as comic book characters for Red Nose Day. Ethan wanted to dress up as a minion on the day.
Little E was very nervous about returning to school. We had tears on the first day but she quickly got back into the swing of things. Little E’s school held delayed celebrations for World Book Day. She went to school dressed as Tinkerbell to celebrate.
There have been lots of cuddles on the school run this month. The above photo was captured by a friend for me. I can only think our siblings have been missing each other in the day. It is so lovely to see. A very positive thing to come out of all of these coronavirus lock-downs an even stronger bond for our siblings.
March 2021 has been a month full of Sunday morning Brightlingsea walks. Our local escape to visit the sea in the hope to keep Ethan happy. March brings with it a relaxation of some of the lockdown rules. We can meet up with another household outside and do a bit more local exploring. I don’t think we will rush out anywhere, I still feel a bit wary of other people. It will be nice to visit a different beach though for a change of scenery.
