Time For The Children To Become Flu Fighters

Last week both of our children had their flu vaccinations scheduled at school. Little E’s was due on the Tuesday and Ethan’s was due on the Wednesday. Being that Little E is really struggling with starting school and Ethan’s fear of doctors I didn’t expect it to go well. I was really shocked and pleasantly surprised when both children came home with their flu fighters certificates. The Year Of Unicorn Cakes

Birthday cakes are a very important part of birthday celebrations in our family. My mum always made sure I had a birthday cake on my birthday. With Ethan being non-verbal for so many years this visual marker of a birthday became even more important to me. I didn’t need to worry as there was plenty of room for both Darren and Ethan on the diggers. Ethan loved driving the dumper trucks and he even took control of the steering wheel at times. It was lovely to see him smiling and laughing with his daddy as they made their way around the course. Driving the…

    Autism and the Tiger Meltdown

On Friday we decided to take Ethan to Colchester Zoo. Partly because he needed to get out of the house and partly because he had been asking to go there. Being that we didn’t have Little E with us we decided to let Ethan pick our route around the zoo. He had energy to burn and we thought it would be a good way to do it. Being the routine boy he is Ethan actually followed the route that we normally take when we visit the zoo. We visited the Rainbow birds and then the fish. Ethan then asked to see the elephants and from there he wanted to see…
