This week our word of the week is
as we have been able to get out and about this week due to Darren being on holiday. Lots of our outside has been trips to see the sea from different locations. Trips to different playgrounds and also to the shops.
If you follow me on instagram you will see I have had quite a successful trip to Primark again. This means I was able to add to my Beauty and the Beast collection. Little E also got some Disney treats. We are also the proud owners of new Harry Potter mugs. Darren really does deserve a medal for putting up with me. He was quite happy with his Primark haul as he picked up some more bits for our holiday.
It has been nice getting outside and the children have enjoyed it. We were hoping that being out would mean that Ethan would have a more restful sleep. This wasn’t the case.
This week Ethan also went on his very first play date. I went with him to a school friends house. Ethan loved being outside in their garden and playing with all of their outdoor toys. We wasn’t there for too long as it did start to get a bit much for Ethan but he told me it was fun. He also mentioned his friend for the following two days.
I’m hoping our being outside continues next week. I’m sure it will, we just need to work out the places we want to visit.
I’m pleased to say that we are in the last weeks of the summer holidays now and it hasn’t been too bad. Darren might not agree on the sleep front. I did become very low and tired in the middle but having Darren at home has helped. Hopefully we have finally worked out a formula that works well for us in the summer holidays. Fingers crossed we get it right next year too.
I’m glad your summer holiday has been ok, I know how difficult it can be with routine changes. Your week sounds lovely, I do hope you get out and about next week too, lets keep hoping for some more sunshine before the holidays end. x

Lovely to have so much time outside. I’m still trying to find time to get to the coast, but we are lucky to be surrounded with lots of open space. I’m glad that you are finding a good balance in the summer and Ethan’s play date went well. #wotw
Ahh! I am banned from shopping in Primark. I always spend way too much on pretty things we don’t really need. lol It sounds like you had a successful shopping trip. That’s great about the play date. #WotW
