A photo a day, every day, for a year!
Day 46
We had to buy a Crelling Harness to keep Ethan safe in the car. We had to remove the five point harness of his car seat as he was getting too big for it. He could escape if we only used the seat belt, and we did try. On Sunday I fitted the harness into the car and we took it for a test drive.
Day 47
We walked into town to take Little E for her monthly weigh in, we spotted snow drops in the park.
Day 48
PANCAKE DAY! My favorite day of the year, it means pancakes for dinner. Lemon and sugar for me.
Day 49
We all picked Ethan up from nursery today and we chased the sunset all the way home. It’s quite hard taking a photo of the sunset on your mobile whilst in a moving car!
Day 50
This photo sums up our week. We had a nightmare with the boiler, three engineers later (fingers crossed) and it is working.
Day 51
Ethan has been in a throwing mood this week, everything is being thrown around the room. The higher he can climb to drop things the better it is. The TV is also something he has wanted to climb to complete this task. When he is in this mood it’s hard to get him to engage with anything else. In desperation I got out the ball run, I got his attention for all of five minutes before it joined his list of throwing!
Day 52
With Ethan’s throwing mood in full swing we had to get him out of the house. When Darren finished work we headed to the sea where Ethan threw rocks into the water!
throwing rocks into the sea seems like a great way to let him throw things safely.
Glad you have got a car harness that will help to keep him safe, save the worry of him undoing himself.
Not the right time of year for the boil to break down, I hope that is it sorted.
It did make me laugh that we took Ethan out and his throwing continued. Lets hope it is out of his system now!
Hope the boiler is still working!! Love the picture of the sunset, wonderful view x
Thank you, fingers crossed it is at the moment x
Glad the engineers managed to sort the boiler out for you. Interesting to read about Ethan’s harness – good that there are products designed to keep children safe when the standard stuff doesn’t suit.
We were very worried about the car seat issue, we had no idea how it would work as he got older. Thankfully the harness has helped x
Glad you’ve found a carseat solution.
Thank goodness the boiler is now fixed.
Thank you, it really has been an interesting week for issues! x
Lovely photo’s of the week, I hope Ethan’s throwing phases passes quickly. x
Thank you. It comes and goes, if he is doing well in other areas the throwing starts. Perhaps it calms him down?! x
The harness looks great, and I know someone else who uses the special harness for their little boy who’s like Houdini. Throwing pebbles on the beach is such a therapeutic experience. Fingers crossed, the boiler now works without a glitch.
Thank you. We did put off getting the harness but we knew deep down we would need one. It’s great to know he is now safe in the car x
Great photo of Ethan at the beach Jane! Glad you got him out, throwing can be annoying! We have balls being kicked around our house! Good to hear the bolier is mended x
The throwing really is getting to us, no idea how to stop it. Getting out really is the best option at the moment x
Lovely photo round up – it’s good to remember these moments even if they involve the boiler! I would have taken a picture of our new oil pump if I could! We enjoy throwing things too and it’s an issue at mealtimes – we are improving our catching skills. Hurrah for the beach
Thank you, yes the throwing can be fun. No food throwing for us yet!
Looks like a perfect solution taking Ethan to beach to throw stones galore at the sea – must have been worrying for you when he indoors and throwing. I somehow managed to miss pancake day but have made up for it a few times since (including this morning).
What a great idea to take him to the sea to continue his throwing! I hope it helped him get it out of his system a bit x
I wish it did but he continued to throw as soon as we got home :0(
Fingers crossed the boiler is okay.
Throwing stones in to the sea is a fab way to spend the afternoon, he certainly looks like he enjoyed himself
He did, it did make us laugh that we wanted to get him out of the house to stop throwing. Yet we let him throw stones on the beach!
I hope your boiler is all fixed now and I hope Ethan’s throwing phase doesn’t last too long – great to get him out of the house.
The boiler is now working thankfully, it was a complete nightmare though!
I hope the boiler is still working…
Eek! With the throwing! A good way to let him throw to his hearts content!
Lovely photos x
Thank you, thankfully (fingers crossed) the boiler is being good. It was a complete nightmare x
Eek! Sorry to hear about the boiler! That’s not good at all – fingers crossed it’s still working 🙂 The harness sounds like a good idea!
Thanks for linking up to #TWTWC xx
The boiler was a nightmare. The harness was just what we needed x
That ball run looks great . We seem to have had a throwing week as well this week.
Perhaps there is something in the air!
Glad to hear that the boiler is working again 🙂 Love the last photo of Ethan, that’s one way for his throwing to be a good thing!
The throwing is a nightmare, at least at the beach it is safe x
Hope the throwing time is over for a while now? That harness sounds like a good idea, I know how easy it is for Monkey to undo the belt in Daddy P’s car – scares me. Sorry this is late x
The throwing still continued :0( The harness was just what we needed, we just had to admit it x
