A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2021 Week 23. This week our half term fun ended with an overnight stay at Port Lympne. We visited Port Lympne for the day in August 2019. It was then that I was made aware of Wolf Lodge. A gatehouse that you can stay in which backs onto the wolf enclosure. I knew that Little E would love to stay there and we got a great deal being able to stay on a Sunday night and with a Boxing Day discount. This was also a week full of issues for us. I need to have a tooth out, Darren has hurt his ankle and our boiler is shorting out all the electrics in the kitchen.
Project 365 – 2021 Week 23
Day 156
After our travel day from Sandy Balls the day before I knew we would have a day at home washing. We needed to get everything done before our next adventure on Sunday. In the food order, I ordered us a selection of food so that we could have a picky style picnic lunch.
Day 157
Our home for the evening Wolf Lodge at Port Lympne. I was really looking forward to this night away. It was an amazing experience to spend the night at Port Lympne.
Day 158
Our breakfast at Port Lympne was in The Garden Room. I was worried that this restaurants offering would be too posh for the children. But there was pancakes and Coco Pops on the menu so they were very happy.
Day 159
I had to go to the dentist today. This was the social distancing sign outside. It was an emergency appointment and they told me what I was expecting. I need to have a tooth out next week. To say I’m nervous is an understatement.
Day 160
Are they letting lots of wildflowers grow in your area? We spot poppies everywhere now. These are some I captured on the school run but they are in someone’s front garden.
Day 161
We had a delivery issue today. I ordered a Playmobil Dinosaur set for our friends birthday but a fire engine arrived. Thankfully I was able to resolve this issue quickly with the supplier.
Day 162
The British Gas man came round today to see if he could work out what is wrong with our boiler. He is ordering some parts and is coming back on Monday. He isn’t really sure what is causing the boiler to cut out our electrics.
That was our 2021 Week 23 adventure. You can read about our week 22 here.
Ahh! We love picnic lunches here. They are the best type.
That is good that Port Lympne catered for kids. It is a worry when somewhere looks too posh.
There is a load of poppies in the lane out of the back of my house. I really should go out there and take some photos.
Good luck with getting the boiler fixed x
Oh no, hope they manage to fix your boiler. The poppies look lovely. We’ve not got many round here. Good luck with the tooth, hope it gets sorted out and isn’t too painful
We’ve been to Port Lympne as it is near my MIL. Hope everything goes well with the tooth… #project365
How lovely to have an overnight stay at Port Lympne. I love seeing wildflowers growing on verges – we have a few areas where they’ve been left to grow. Hope that your boiler is now fixed and that all went well with having your tooth out. #project365
You’ve reminded me that I need to see when our BG service is due. The night away sounds amazing, glad it all went well #365
How lovely that you got to stay at Port Lyme. I have looked at it several times but it was so expensive. Will remember the tip about the box day offer. Hope your tooth removal went okay. I would be nervous too and that your boiler has been fixed x
Nice to get away…the lodge at Port Lympne looks lovely.
Hope you get the boiler sorted and they figure out whats happening
