Project 365 2021 Week 4 Day’s 23-29

AD

A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2021 Week 4. It’s our fourth week of juggling and I have been finding it a struggle. I took some days off from homeschooling this week as I just couldn’t face it. I really needed my puzzles this week! It means we have to play catch up again with the school work but so be it.

Project 365 – 2021 Week 4

Day 23

back colchester castle

Finally, I got the chance to get out of the house today. We went for our daily walk before lunch in the hope that it would be quieter. Going a different way around the castle today. We also took the time to read some of the signs about the history of the castle. When it opens up again we are planning to finally visit Colchester Castle museum.

Day 24

pink sky morning january 24th

We woke up to this amazing pink sky this morning. We wanted to go out for a walk again today but it was so cold outside. Our Sunday turned into a much needed lazy day watching family films on Netflix.

Day 25

mickey minnie mouse towel bathroom set

I had an ASDA George delivery today. Darren took the time to decorate (re-paint) our downstairs toilet whilst he was on furlough. I have a painting of Walt Disney in there that I got from Disneyland Paris many years ago. I thought the Mickey and Minnie Mouse towels would go perfectly. I’m really embracing ‘I can’t get to Disney I will bring Disney into my home!’ Now we just need our towel rail to arrive from Ikea.

Day 26

ethan little e flooded river seagulls

Darren was home again today so he was able to take the children out for a walk. It was time to feed the ducks again. The river is still flooded so they couldn’t get too close to the ducks. There were lots of seagulls happy for some bread though.

Day 27

ravensburger disney princess heroines puzzles snow white belle 2021 Week 4

I was really missing my puzzles this week. Thankfully I found some new Ravensburger puzzles on Amazon at the weekend. I’m really hoping this is a new series of 12 as the puzzles have labels of one and two but I can’t find any more information on them. They arrived today, a day early, and that made me very happy.

Day 28

puzzle progress beauty and the beast january 28th 2021 Week 4

Let the puzzle building commence. I was very busy with work but finding an hour’s worth of puzzle time is really helping me. It just helps me clear my mind and I feel like I have had some me time.

Day 29

puzzle progress beauty and the beast january 29th 2021 Week 4

A quieter day with work today. There were two meetings to attend and lots of email watching. Meaning I had a little bit of puzzle time in the daylight whilst I let the children watch the Trolls movies again. These films can help settle Ethan as he actually watches them and sometimes dances/jumps along.

That was our 2021 Week 4 adventure. You can read about our week 3 here.

  1. It must be nice to get out for a walk. THe castle looks a great place to visit.
What a pretty sky and the Disney bathroom things are the cutest.
What fab puzzels. I love the Beauty & the Beast one. x

  2. I quite miss doing jigsaws. I used to do with my mum and my grandmother (and H when he was younger), but there are no opportunities any more. I know at some point I’ll get around to doing them myself. Colchester Castle is a great place to visit – we have happy memories (and great photos) of visiting there when on holiday at Brightlingsea a few years back.

  3. I think the schools are more than aware that some days homeschooling just doesn’t work. I have been getting stressed as we are not keeping up with my youngest work as he needs one on one. But the school phoned and told me anything is better than nothing so we are feeling more positive this week. Love the idea of a Disney themed downstairs loo. I have been trying to get the husband to decorate ours but he is not keen. Love the puzzles its crafts for me – sometimes you just need to clear your mind don’t you?

  4. How lovely to live not far from a castle! Love the pink sky, such an intense colour!
Lovely that Darren was able to take your kids out to feed the ducks!
The puzzles are fab! I got a 1000pc puzzle for Christmas, but it’s still sitting in a box, I really need to find time to do it.
    The Disney-themed loo sounds fun!

  5. What a great idea bringing some Disney into your home! I had a fab trip to Disneyland Paris in the December before lockdown and miss that happy place! Love your feature picture, the sky looks incredible. Your doing well with your jigsaw, glad you found some more you liked.
