This Christmas Santa brought Ethan a Leap Frog Letter Factory and as we showed Ethan the pieces he identified some of the letters. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and excitedly told people about it but Ethan only did this a couple of times and never did it again.
Fast forward to May and in my quest to try to avoid electronic cause and effect toys for Ethan’s birthday gifts we decided to buy him magnetic letters for our fridge. As I put them somewhere safe I totally forgot to give them to Ethan on his birthday so they were only added to the fridge last week. Ethan enjoyed adding them to the fridge door and over the past few days decided to show us his knowledge of letters…
Ethan has identified the following letters i, a, e, o, y, t, m and n. We really hope he keeps this up and learns some more letters along the way.
such a lovely post. Well done Ethan!
My youngest Bruiser is just learning his letters too. Because we use Makaton with him as his primary method of communication, we’ve taken the approach of using jolly phonics to help him learn the letters and its working great. i bet Ethan might like those too 😉
Thank you for your advise, I will have to look into jolly phonics as it isn’t something I have come across yet x
awww honey this is fantastic and i loved the video, i had goose bumps and a smile all the way through!
I am so pleased you got this #magicmoment videoed!
and thanks for linking up 🙂
I couldn’t believe it when he started doing it, I was lucky that I could grab the camera without making too much movement and making him stop. Let’s hope it’s onwards and upwards!
