When we visited a friend recently Ethan started to show an interest in a push along toy that they had, he also loves to push prams at nursery but I do think this is more to watch the wheels.
So when I found a push along animal on a sensory toy website I ordered it for Ethan’s birthday. After showing Ethan how to hold the toy correctly to make it work he was off.
We had noticed on some rare occasions Ethan was making the sounds for the words “Ready, Steady, Go!” this wooden toy brought this out even more.
To encourage his use of “Ready, Steady, Go!” I have been using this where possible, walking to swimming, getting Ethan into the bath etc. Over the past few weeks it really feels like Ethan is making even more noise, a massive step forward…

Absolutely gorgeous, I LOVE that video, what an infectious laugh your beautiful boy has. Thank you so much for sharing this link to PoCoLo and S2S2D xx
Thank you, we always say he has an amazing laugh x
That is great. Ready, Stead, Go (along with 1,2,3, go) are really good for kids to learn about waiting for things to happen, and learning to be patient. Great stuff, and nice vid!
Thank you, I have no idea how it started, perhaps we do it without thinking but we are keeping it going as I’m happy to be getting words, no matter what they are!
Wonderful! He is obviously getting so much joy from the game,I kinda want to join in!
He is so funny when he does it, we all end up laughing and sometimes join in! ;0)
Thankyou for linking this up to #S2S2D and sorry it’s taken me so long to comment. I really appreciate your support and Ethans infectious laugh certainly made me smile when I needed to. x
