It has just been over two weeks since the c section and I have been getting frustrated about how ill I have been with my recovery. I had this idea in my head that because it wasn’t an emergency c section I would be back up and on my feet in a few days. This meant that we would be able to do things as a family, I would be able to enjoy time with Ethan again.
I was getting frustrated in my pregnancy with my lack of mobility and how it was stopping me do the things I wanted to with Ethan already. I was really looking forward to doing things with him whilst Darren was on his paternity leave, thankfully Darren took three weeks off of work so we still have some time together.
On Saturday I was feeling the best I had felt in a while, so after dinner we headed to the beach so that Ethan could have some fun in the water.
They hadn’t been in the sea for long when two dogs appeared in front of them.
We didn’t think much of it at first, but they were standing rather close. I don’t want Ethan to be scared of animals so I try not to react to strange dogs in a fearful way, but I know you should be wary.
Their owners were close to hand and told Darren that they wanted to catch the water they kicked to them. They wanted to play, and play they did.
Darren started kicking the water to them and Ethan soon followed.
The dog was jumping so high to catch the water it had Ethan in fits of giggles. The photos below capture his enjoyment perfectly!
For some reason it didn’t even cross my mind to film this encounter which is such a shame.
I’m linking this post to Magic Moments over at The Oliver’s Madhouse as Ethan loved every minute of his sea dog encounter, and it was so much fun to see.
