Darren’s paternity leave is drawing to an end and next week I will be left alone to deal with two children. It could be very interesting!
Ethan has had three weeks of Daddy time as Darren added some holiday to his leave. This gave me lots of time to start the recovery process, we learnt the hard way from my emergency c section with Ethan, and it also gave Ethan the time to adjust to having his Little Sister around. I know next week will not be plain sailing as Ethan always goes off the rails after having lots of time with Daddy.
I was hoping that during Darren’s paternity leave we would be able to do lots of fun things with Ethan, but my recovery has been harder than I expected it to be. We also have been surrounded by illness and things we had planned to do this week have been cancelled because Ethan wasn’t well enough.
The first two weeks were really about water fun in the garden, Darren was doing lots of running around and we were visited by the midwifes nearly everyday.

Thank you, we find keeping Ethan busy is the best thing to do at the moment. We love the beach and thankfully it isn’t that far x

Aww sounds like Ethan has had a lot of fun with his daddy, great that Daddy had so much time off! I read somewhere you should keep the older child’s routine as normal as possible after the birth of a new baby – but that must be completely impossible with c-section recovery!! Hope all goes well next week when it’s you and the 2 kiddies, I am not looking forward to that day myself but I am sure we will cope, because there is no other choice!! xx lovely pics by the way 🙂 xx #countrykids
Thank you. We did, and still have, needed a team around us for support. We learnt from my first c section how rough I would be feeling so tried to prepare as much as possible x
