When Luke and Lexi arrive home from their holiday they discover a white mouse in their luggage. They are shocked to discover this mouse can talk. He claims to be a descendant of a Hollywood film star. He has left his home in Los Angeles to embark on a Grand Tour of Europe.

Luke and Lexi are able to persuade their parents to let him stay as their pet. After a very eventful first night, they all visit Aunty Rita. She has a background in fashion and creates Algernon a wonderful wardrobe full of clothes ready for his trip.

Unfortunately, Algernon creates havoc wherever he goes. He also likes to boast about how fantastic he and his family are. What adventures lie in store as the family joins him on his Grand Tour of Europe? What trouble will they get into along the way?
