We have talked about getting a Colchester Zoo Gold Pass for a while now. So in the week we finally took the plunge and purchased some. I visited the zoo with my parents on Thursday to buy our Colchester Zoo Gold Pass. Darren had to collect his today as they put your picture on the back of the pass.
You have to go into the zoo to buy and collect the passes. So on Thursday, we stopped off to see the penguins. It was at the same time as their feed, we decided to stay and watch. I’m so glad we did as it was a real highlight. They bring the penguins out of their enclosure and into a viewing area. It was fantastic to see them so close and not behind glass. I have never witnessed an animal feed like it before.
Ethan was just as amazed as we were and found it all very funny. It was lovely to see him engage with what was going on. I love hearing him laugh and he clearly found this experience very funny.
After picking up Darren’s zoo pass today we stopped to see the sea lions. We got the chance to see them being fed. This was another enjoyable moment for us all.
Ethan loves watching sea lions. We discovered his love of the water-based animals during his first birthday visit. We also took Ethan to visit the sea lions after taking him to Breakfast with Santa at the zoo.
The zoo passes give us a whole year to see all of the animal feeds with unlimited visits to the zoo. There are going to be lots of events at the zoo this year. One of them being Colchester Zoo’s 50th birthday celebrations. I’m sure we will get lots of use out of the passes.
