A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2021 Week 40. This was a week of not feeling 100%. Being close contacts for Covid-19 resulting in us all having PCR tests. It meant a slow and quiet week whilst we waited for results. Ironically a week that we all needed.
Project 365 – 2021 Week 40
Day 275
I needed some new trainers for running. Yes, I did say that running! I’m trying to be good with money so I went for the cheapest running trainers on Sports Direct.
Day 276
Ethan complained that his tummy hurt and he refused to really eat anything. This meant a bit of a battle as he was asking for his routine food to be made but couldn’t bring himself to eat it. Resulting in some upset. We did think he would be sick but he wasn’t. He did go very quiet at one point and he had fallen asleep on the sofa. This is a sign that he is feeling poorly as he only ever does this when he is ill. He isn’t a boy who likes to sleep.
Day 277
We kept Ethan off of school today but Little E went about her normal Monday routine. Swimming for her on a Monday night.
Day 278
The children were sent octopus keyrings today. The PR team were impressed with all the sculptures they found following the Octopus Ahoy! Art Trail they sent them this little gift to celebrate.
Day 279
The octopus keyrings took pride of place on the schoolbags today. We also had a letter from Little E’s school making us aware there is a positive Covid case in her class. Meaning we had to order her a PCR test.
Day 280
Ethan was full of cold today and not looking his best, I decided to keep him at home again. His school requested that he has a PCR test before he can go back to school. So we ordered PCR tests for all of us.
Day 281
We found a conker on the way to school. We always miss collecting them and to be honest I think this might have been one that someone else had dropped.
That was our 2021 Week 40 adventure. You can read about weeks 38 and 39 here.
A slow week sounds like a good one if you needed it.
Good luck with the running. I have put trainers on my birthday list for running too.
Poor Ethan. I know my two are ill when they sleep during the day. I hope he is feeling better now. x
I always pick up conkers. I don’t know why – apart from them being so shiny, they never get used for anything (other than a couple being put in rooms to keep spiders away (unsuccessfully). Hope the PCRs are negative
Poor Ethan, hope he is feeling better now and that all the Covid tests are negative. Those octopus keyrings are cute. We need to look out for conkers – haven’t collected any this year. #project365
A worrying week, but on the plus side, you could rest at home. Sorry to hear Ethan was poorly. It’s the same with my guys, they’d only fall asleep during the day if they are quite unwell. Hope he is on the mend.
The octopus key rings look very cute. Good luck with the running!
Hope the PCR tests are clear but there are so many bugs going around that the school seems a little unreasonable to insist on the tests with no definite symptoms. #project365
