A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2021 Week 6. We are six weeks into juggling work life and school work but there was some excitement too. Storm Darcy arrived and brought with her lots of snow! Schoolwork is still in catch-up mode and I was able to fit in some of the school challenges around my work this week.
Project 365 – 2021 Week 6
Day 37
Little E has grown so much during these lockdowns. I spent the day sorting through her wardrobe working out what should stay and what needs to go. This t-shirt is from when she had her Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique princess make-over in Cinderella’s castle. It was during our trip to Walt Disney World in 2017. It still fits her and I just couldn’t bring myself to part with it.
Day 38
The snow arrived! It was later than expected but at least it settled. Darren took the children out in it to explore. This gave me some time on my own. I do love the snow but I also need to grab any alone time I can get at the moment.
Day 39
The snow was still here so Darren took the children out in it again whilst I worked. The trampoline was full of snow. I captured this photo of them jumping in the snowy trampoline whilst I had a tea break.
Day 40
Another day another snowy walk for Darren and the kids. This time they went for a bit of a longer walk in Castle Park.
Day 41
The weather forecast a very cold day today. Instead of pumping up the heating even more than we have had it on, I declared it a duvet day. This helped keep us warm and thankfully I didn’t have any zoom meetings. We spent the whole day wrapped up nice and warm.
Day 42
I didn’t take any photos today so I took a photo of our sausage hot pot dinner before we dished it up.
Day 43
At the moment Ethan wants to eat his breakfast in the kitchen but I also need to be in there with him. He doesn’t want me to sit at the table with him. So I stood at the window and watched a beautiful sunrise.
That was our 2021 Week 6 adventure. You can read about our week 5 here.
You had a lot more snow than we did! Ethan and Little E look like they enjoyed being out in it and jumping on a snowy trampoline sounds like a lot of fun. A duvet day sounds like it was good idea – it was so cold this week! Beautiful sunrise photo. #project365
Aww! I don’t think I could part with something like that t-shirt. It would be something I would keep forever.
It looks like the kids had fun in the snow. What a big smile from Ethan.
Getting the duvets out is a good way to keep the heating bills down. x
Beeautiful photos of walking in the snow! We didn’t get any last week, sadly, my younger son was ever so hopeful, but it by-passed us. Looks like Ethan and Little E had great fun in the snow.
The sunset is very pretty too. A duvet day sounds like a great idea. I’d be happy to spend a day, wrapped up in a duvet, with a book. 🙂
The sunrise is gorgeous, great capture. I’ve had a few duvet half days with electric blanket on when it’s got too cold. You ahd a lot more snow than we have had in the west midlands, bet it was fun on the trampoline as it bounced around
You had better snow that we did! We have kept all of the kids’ clothes. My heart won’t give up on the idea of another baby despite our decision to not have any more. #project365
What a lovely lot of snow. We did not manage much unfortunately but it has been really cold so can totally relate to your duvet day. Lovely sunrise.
The snow days were magical, weren’t they. My son has grown 2cms in a couple of months – I can’t wait to see what he looks like in his school trousers 🙁 #365
Another snowy post, I am so jealous of everyone’s snow, we just haven’t had any. Love your daughter’s coat
Oh wow you got loads of snow! Looks like the kids had lots of fun with it!
Beautiful sunrise!
That sky pic looks amazing. and what a week of snow you have been having. My favourite was the trampoline filled with snow. so much fun!! and I have the same opinion as you – grab any free time we can 😀
Loving all the snow pictures. Bet it was fab for the kids having fun in it. Good plan hanging on to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique t-shirt, clinging on to holiday memories manages to cheer me up right now. What a great idea having a duvet day! Our house never gets properly warm so tempted to start doing some of those.
