A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2022 Week 6 & 7. During week 6 I was very ill and full of cold. I struggled through the week taking lateral flow tests every day. They were all negative which was great as we had half-term adventures planned. Our half-term was a mini family reunion as we went to Woburn Forest Center Parcs with my brother and his family. It was great having a week off and something I know I really needed.
Project 365 – 2022 Week 6 & 7
Day 36 – Week 6
During the first lockdown, Darren got the chance to paint our hallway. I brought photo frames to put up but we haven’t got very far with putting them on the wall. At Christmas, I ordered the photos I wanted to put in the frames and today I actually put them in the frames. This time next year the frames might actually be up in the hall!
Day 37
Ethan needed to get out of the house. He keeps asking to go on adventures on Sunday’s. We took his Monster Jam Megalodon to Brightlingsea beach. It was a very cold evening and glad we were only there for thirty minutes.
Day 38
Little E’s friend gave her a poppit. We have mainly avoided the craze so Little E is fascinated with this one. She was showing it to the cat.
Day 39
Another pink sky for us again this morning. I feel like I’m really paying attention to the sky at the moment. Is it something you do as you get older?
Day 40
I felt really ill today. So ill that I had to ask for the day off of work. I have rarely done that since working from home. The toilet roll was my best friend today as I had no other tissues to hand. This meant I also had a nice red nose.
Day 41
Little E was loving her headphones tonight. She was bopping along to something on her iPad as I took this photo.
Day 42
Today was a non-uniform day at Little E’s school. It was Purple Pinky day. The children could wear any purple or pink clothes they wanted. It was to support the Rotary Club’s campaign to vaccinate all children across the world against polio.
Day 43 – Week 7
I was able to free some space on my mac so I thought about updating it. Something it tells me to do every day. But if I do this it tells me iPhoto will no longer work. I have over 67,000 photos in iPhoto and it takes up so much space I just can’t import them. So I will slowly move my photos over as iPhoto is so old now. I’m sure it will take years!
Day 44
I don’t have any photos today except for a screenshot of the car we are having to hire this week.
Day 45
We made our way to Woburn Forest Center Parcs today. It was a busy day and Ethan found it hard because of excitement and lack of routine. We also hadn’t told him we were going until the day before. I know with autism we should prepare him but with things having to be cancelled because of covid we thought this was the best way to play the last few years. We had a late lunch at Las Iguanas and the only photo I really took today was of this sign in the restaurant.
Day 46
It was raining today and I had booked us in for family street karts. It ended up being a very wet activity but hopefully, everyone had fun.
Day 47
Little E loves animals so I booked her in for an Encounter with Owls. An activity that I haven’t seen available at the Elveden Forest Center Parcs. She got to hold this southern white-faced owl and also have an owl fly towards her and land on her arm. She is a lot braver than me.
Day 48
Another activity for Little E today was the off-road explorers. Erhan was too old for this one. It’s a shame as he would have loved it. He did come to watch his sister driving. Little E took part in this activity at Elveden Forest when she was three. I took her to that experience. This time Darren walked around the track with her.
Day 49
We said goodbye to our lodge today. Storm Eunice arrived this morning so Center Parcs closed their doors to new arrivals today. They gave us the option to stay another night to wait out the storm. We waited until the red weather warnings had ended and then made our way home.
That was our 2022 Week 6 & 7 adventure. You can read about week 5 here.
My daughter would love to do an owl experience (I would too). Looks like you had a lovely time
I am glad you are feeling better now.
Fab photos!
We have tons of those poppits. My youngest loves them.
It looks like you had a great time at Center Parcs. x
Sorry to hear you’ve been poorly, glad you felt better for the family outing, so nice to be doing things again. I’ve never used iphoto, i just store on laptop and back up on a memory stick which then backs up on another apple computer. Looks like you had a great time at Centre Parks, I’ve never been to any of them, great you could spend an extra night to see the storm out.
Glad you all got to enjoy Center Parcs, one day we will get to one of them. I’m surprised that we’ve still managed to avoid the Popit thing here! #365
Sorry that you’ve been unwell with a cold and glad you are now feeling better. Good luck with moving all your photos over from iPhoto – that’s a huge job! So glad you were able to go to CenterParcs for half-term. Love the photo of Little E with the owl. #project365
