Ethan’s September appointments are over and now we wait!
So far September has been a busy month for our family. The main change that has happened in Ethan’s life is that he started nursery. Whilst I go to work he is going to nursery for a few hours in the mornings. We wanted him to go to get the chance to mix with other children. Since moving I haven’t really found any groups for us to go to. So far we think Ethan is enjoying his time there. He only cried once when we left him there. Thankfully the tears soon ended when he was distracted with a flashing light toy. V-tech toys are always Ethan’s favourites.
The other thing that has kept us busy this month has been all of Ethan’s hospital appointments. He has seen a paediatrician for a referral which will start the assessment process. Had a hearing test to rule out any issues being caused by a loss of hearing. Ethan has also had his speech therapy assessment. These September appointments mean he has now been referred to have a child development assessment. This is because it has been agreed that he is showing signs of developmental delays. These assessments will happen over a period of four sessions in January. The information collected in the assessments will hopefully give us some answers.
So whilst we wait I will use this blog to share with you our past adventures. We also have a few nice adventures planned to help pass the next few months. January will be here before we know it!
