Thinking Slimmer 12 Week Challenge – Week 9 Update

It’s week 9 of my Thinking Slimmer 12 week challenge. I have been listening to the chillpod, slimpod and fitpod every night before bed. I have found that I’m falling asleep now whilst listening and find myself waking in the night to discover I still have the headphones in my ears.

The three goals I have set for myself are

1) Feel fitter and be able to run around with my children with ease

2) Drink less tea and more water

3) Drop a dress size

This is what I have been up to over the past week

Wii Fit and EA Active

I still haven’t touched this apart from weighing myself, but we did go on two days out last week which meant I did a lot of walking. This can only be a positive thing.

Tea Drinking

I’m still on four cups of tea a day and we have started to discuss when we are going to start using fat-free milk. We still haven’t introduced this yet but it is on the cards.


I have treated myself to a few small pieces of chocolate again this week.

Cereal Before Bed

I have had cereal before bed once this week. I’m desperately trying not the restart my old habit.

Weight-loss vs Measurements

This week I have lost weight, the wii Fit is still telling me I’m overweight. I have also lost on my measurements this week.

Todays BMI – 29.26

Week 9 weight-loss – 2 lb

Chest Measurement – No loss

Waist Measurement – 1.5 cm loss

Bicep Measurement – 1.5 cm loss

Hip Measurement – No loss

Thigh Measurement – No loss

  1. I am proud of you for having lost weight and become slimmer in waist size. I could use a challenge like this one too. May I ask, do you drink tea wiht milk (re the no-fat milk) or what is the reason you’re trying to cut down on tea? Tea is quite healthy.
