Me & Mine January 2015

This month I had every intention of treating us to a remote control for the camera so it would be easier to take our family photos. My brother gave us a voucher for Christmas and it was going to be our treat, I just haven’t been able to get my heard around ordering it. Yesterday I regretted that as I set the camera timer and raced backwards and forwards to the sofa. We have actually got a selfie stick for the GoPro which we could have used but we haven’t even tested that yet. So here is this months Me and Mine Photo.

Ethan always stands in the far corner of our sofa, normally on the arm, I have to cox him into joining us. The timer is set to ten seconds so it is all very rushed but thankfully he thinks its a bit of a game. Darren and Little E take their position on the sofa and then both me and Ethan run from different directions to join them.

I thought I would share a couple of our outtakes with you as this really made us all giggle yesterday afternoon.

As always the iPad is never far from Ethan’s side! I also think Little E’s face sums up exactly what she thinks of the madness that is our family!

This month things are very calm in our house, Ethan is enjoying the routine of nursery without Christmas and he is very settled. He is going through a throwing stage at the moment which is possibly an attention thing. It is driving us mad but we are doing our best to stop it. The problem is he finds it very funny!

Little E is working on sitting up, she soon lets us know when she wants up to prop her up so she can have a better view. I also find her quite demanding when Ethan is at nursery, I think she misses his antics. She has also discovered In The Night Garden and screams with excitement when Upsey Daisy is on.

Darren celebrated his birthday this month and we celebrated with a lunch date. Apart from that things have been quite quiet which is nice after a very busy Christmas. We have a busy few months coming up as Ethan will be preparing to start school, so we are happy to have some quiet time.

Thank you. I’m hoping we can take better photos as Little E gets older but I’m not so sure it will be as easy as I think lol

  2. Hello what a sweet shot, it’s lovely to see your smiling faces! And the outtakes are hilarious, but then outtakes are always my favourite!

  3. OH that first picture is brilliant! What a great capture. I love it when people share their out-takes, too – so reassuring for those of us whose photoshoots largely consist of them!

Our photos always have outtakes. I have to have the camera set on a super shot mode just to get one photo of my boy!

It’s on my long list of things I need to order. I just need to take five minutes to press the buy button lol

Thank you, I really hope we can start taking photos in different locations over the next year and not always have them on the sofa ;0)

  4. Oh my goodness, Little E’s face in that first photo is priceless, she looks so bemused by what’s going on. Loving all the outtakes too, it looks like you were all having so much fun. x

I’m sure she thinks ‘What have you brought me into!’ lol She is a very serious little lady. It really did make us giggle trying to capture the photo for this month x
