A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2021 Week 16. Another week filled with school activities. We are still getting used to it and I’m getting very tired. I suppose that’s what happens when you have been locked down for over a year.
Project 365 – 2021 Week 16
Day 107

Ethan’s swimming club started back up today. This means Darren has to sit and wait for him for an hour at the hot poolside wearing a face mask. He doesn’t mind and we are glad Ethan can get back to swimming. It helps to wear him out at the weekends which will sometimes help with his sleep.
Day 108

Now that we are back into our normal school-run routines in the week we don’t feel like we need to get the children out every Sunday. Ethan still asked for a trip to the beach. So after a busy day of housework, we took the children to Frinton-on-sea. We love visiting the beach at Frinton. Sometimes if you are lucky you will see horses riding along the beach. The last time we were able to visit was New Year’s day before the lock-down.
Day 109

I finally remembered to order a live butterfly garden for Little E this year. Our caterpillars arrived today. I think I was more excited than Little E. I can’t wait to see them turn into butterflies.
Day 110

We were meant to start sorting out our garden over the Easter weekend. We had a mix-up with some items we ordered and we also had to wait for them to arrive. So Darren is going to work on the garden whenever he has a Tuesday off of work. It will take some time but that doesn’t matter. I think gardens are always a work in progress.
Day 111

This isn’t the best photo but one I wanted to take to remember all the tooth fairy visits we have had in lock-down. This is the second tooth Ethan lost this week. I’m sure it’s the third in two weeks. He normally has wobbly teeth for months as he doesn’t like the feeling of them. They also disrupt his teeth brushing. We had none of these signs with all three of these teeth. They were just handed to us with a smile.
Day 112

Another caterpillar photo. I’m sure they have doubled in size in less than a week. I’m getting a little bit obsessed with them if I am totally honest.
Day 113

Last Friday was my long working day. I somehow promised the children that I would take them to the play park this Friday on the way home from school. We didn’t get in until five and I was very glad that we had pizzas for dinner.
That was our 2021 Week 16 adventure. You can read about our week 15 here.
It sounds like a busy week.
Good luck with the caterpillars.
How exciting to have the tooth fairy visiting so often. I remember my youngest losing so many teeth in such a short time. x
I’d be the same if we had caerpillars – N wouldn’t be bothered. Nice that you’re able to get to the beach. I really miss it.
Lovely photo of Little E at the beach. I wish we lived nearer to the sea. Lovely to watch the caterpillars growing. Looks like Little E and Ethan had fun at the park. #project365
Good luck with the caterpillars, you know how much we love that particular journey. Glad Ethan can get back to swimming, no sign of school swimming here which is a little sad #365
I remember the fun we had with the caterpillars when our kids were younger. Yes a garden is a constant work in progress, I think when you have kids it’s just about keeping it tidy and safe for them to play in.
Wow to see the horses on the beach must be really special. So glad swimming lessons have started again for you. We have had the caterpillars and let ours out this week. The boys are already asking for more they love them so much. Can not beat an after school trip to the park.
We haven’t had any wobbly teeth for ages! I miss the beach but sent Chris my hubby to visit his mum by the seaside last weekend. #project365
I keep meaning to order the butterfly thing but keep forgetting! Looks like a nice trip to the beach! Been a while since we have been to one.
It’s nice your kids want to get out to the park, all mine seem to want to do lately is game! I do feel like you though that the weekends can be a bit more chilled now school is back on. It’s so nice having that routine. Your husband is good wearing the mask for a whole hour at the pool. I struggle with a quick 5 min pop to the shops! x
