A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2021 Week 35. It has been an exhausting week for us all. We were tired from our Disney Magic at Sea cruise. I had a busy week at work. We went octopus hunting following the Octopus Ahoy! art trail. And Little E went back to school. We are keeping everything crossed there is no home learning this school year.
Project 365 – 2021 Week 35
There wasn’t much merchandise available on the Disney Magic. We were able to buy this rainbow mug. I got the Mickey Mouse version earlier in the year but this one is much bigger. I have had one cup of tea in it but it is really too big. The mug now has a home in our Disney cabinet.
We started the Octopus Ahoy! art trail today. This was Alien we found him in Jaywick. The art trail comes with an app that lets you scan the QC code on each octopus base. There are 30 to collect. We found 29 in four days, missing out on the last one as his home is in Liverpool Street station.
Darren drove us to Harwich tonight to continue our octopus hunt. We found Octopuss In Boots at the Harwich Redoubt Fort. I knew this one would be one of Little E’s favourites.
Our next stops for collecting the octopuses was Walton-on-the-Naze and Frinton-on-Sea. Facebook Felines was always going to be another one of Little E’s favourites. This one had lots of different cats painted on it.
Our last day of octopus hunting to collect all 29 that have been placed in the Tendering District. We only had to collect the ones left in Clacton town centre. I love Keef at Clacton Station. It was for our heroes of covid and had an amazing painting of Captain Sir Thomas Moore on it.
Time for Little E to go back to school. Starting year three with a new uniform a couple of ages too big. I wonder how quickly she will grow out of it!
Little E came home with this lighthouse picture frame today. Her teacher from year two made them for all the children. I thought this was a lovely keepsake for them all.
That was our 2021 Week 35 adventure. You can read about our weeks 31, 32, 33 and 34 here.
