A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2021 Week 42. Thankfully all of our covid PCR tests this month had come back negative. Meaning we could carry on with the last week of school before the end of the term without any disruption. The children’s schools had some exciting activities planned for them and I had to remember all of the different school collection times!
Project 365 – 2021 Week 42
Day 289
We all took our PCR tests this morning. Darren took them to the priority post box before the collection time. We all got negative results on Monday morning.
Day 290
I finally got Ethan his CEA card for the cinema. This means he can claim a carers ticket for someone to take him to the cinema. There are so many good family films coming out that he might be able to watch. Today we went to the cinema to watch Ron’s Gone Wrong. It was a great film that both children loved and had a great moral to the story.
Day 291
It’s school photo day on Friday so Darren cut Ethan’s hair on Sunday afternoon. Finally, somehow, cutting Ethan’s hair isn’t the battle it once was. I was trying to get him to practise his smile and took some photos of him.
Day 292
After visiting the cinema on Sunday we made a stop at Primark. Someone added some new earmuffs to the shopping bag. We were only there to get Little E some jumpers as she has outgrown the current ones she has. As Ethan had somehow talked us into getting him a Happy Meal for lunch I didn’t remove them from the shopping.
Day 293
Another rainy school run this morning. Thankfully I took the umbrellas this time and we didn’t get soaked through.
Day 294
School disco day for Little E today. There was much discussion about her outfit as she had to wear it all day at school. We were able to settle on her Sisu dress with leggings underneath to keep her warm.
Day 295
A Chinese treat for dinner. We haven’t had one for such a long time and I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, my tummy had other ideas and I felt bloated and uncomfortable for a good day and a half after eating it.
That was our 2021 Week 42 adventure. You can read about our week 41 here.
I am glad all of the PCR tests came back negative.
It does look like there is some fab films for kids at the moment. My two are going to see the 2nd Boss Baby film later this week.
Fab photos. The kids are looking so grown up lately, especially Little E. x
Shame that your Chinese treat turned into a trick (yep, Halloween is coming!) My daughter has some similar earmuffs. Life is so much easier since we started cutting the boys’ hair ourselves. #project365
Glad you managed to get to the end of the school term with negative PCR tests. The cinema sounds interesting with the morals being taught. Love the ear muffs and how on earth did you get talked into a MD’s? Well done Ethan
That chinese food looks good. I’ve not had one for years, apart from the odd stir fry at home. Glad the PCR tests were negative, Must be a relief
I really want to see Ron’s Gone Wrong, glad you enjoyed it Hope little lady had fun at her disco, we had to cancel ours as the kids are back in their bubbles
Chinese does the same thing to me, I am not sure exactly what it is that causes it. Hope Little E enjoyed her school disco, love the ear muffs and that Ethan loved his happy meal. Great news on the CEA card. Hope you had a lovely half term
Glad you had a nice trip to the cinema. Ethan looks very smart with his new haircut. Love Little E’s new earmuffs and the cat ears. Sorry to hear you felt bloated and uncomfortable after your Chinese treat. Such a shame after you were looking forward to it. #project365
