A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2022 Week 21. After weeks of feeling like I have been living in a daze, this week has felt more active. There were lots of end of term activities and non-uniform days to remember. There is also lots of preparation going on for Little E’s dance show.
Project 365 – 2022 Week 21
Day 141
At Christmas, Ethan was able to follow the instructions of a small LEGO set. So for his birthday, we got a few more sets. We have to build one item at a time as it takes him so much effort to concentrate. Today he built Chip from the Rescue Rangers. He did need my support but it’s more for putting the small bits together. Ethan can find most of the LEGO pieces we need for the build. This is such a massive step for him.
Day 142
Today we built Dale. Ethan is very happy with his complete set.
Day 143
Ethan was very excited on Friday as he was given the Star of the Week for good listening and quietly working hard. I think they give the certificates out in assembly again now. He was very proud of himself. I placed the certificate on the fridge today.
Day 144
I had my over 40 NHS health check today. I normally try to have my appointments during school time as Ethan isn’t very good at waiting. As I wanted Darren to have his appointment too I had to book them for later in the day. I took this selfie as we waited for my appointment and for Darren to arrive. Ethan was actually very well behaved, Little E on the other hand was very vocal about how bored she was.
Day 145
I sent Little E into school with some seeds at the teacher’s request. Ethan heard us talking about planting the seeds. Ethan told us ‘Me plant seeds too’. As you can never be sure of Ethan’s context I nodded and didn’t think much of it. I couldn’t believe it when he brought home the seeds he planted today. I think they must be having similar lessons as I feel they are also both learning how to tell the time at the moment.
Day 146
It was Ethan’s last day at school today. They had Jubilee celebrations and had to come in wearing red, white or blue. We opted for his new blue and red Adidas t-shirt.
Day 147
It was Little E’s turn to wear red, white or blue today. She also had Jubilee celebrations at school. She came home with this fantastic mask of Queen Elizabeth.
