A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2023 Week 1. Well, I didn’t really do well with this project in 2022. I did actually take photos nearly every day of the whole year. It was the writing of the post and sharing it on the blog that I struggled to keep up with. The last year turned into a bit of a battle. We had so many issues to overcome and moving house that I had to cut down my blogging. I hope the start of 2023 has brought a reset and I can complete this project this year.
This year has started off slow for us. Darren had a few days off from work. The children have had a viral cough which they passed on to us. Ethan returned to school on Friday but Little E’s school return doesn’t happen until Monday. At the moment we have no real plans for this year. I’m hoping 2023 will be kind to us.
Project 365 – 2023 Week 1
Day 1
We had a change of plans today which meant we stayed at home. So we spent the day building our bedroom furniture and had a picky dinner. This was Little E’s dinner which was more colourful than ours.
Day 2
We went for a walk at Frinton today. We normally visit Frinton-on-sea on New Years’ day and it was a last-minute decision to go today.
Day 3
Darren drove us all into London today as I had to exchange my work computer. On the way home he drove us the way my dad used to take us through London. I loved seeing all the sights and pointing them out to the children.
Day 4
Ethan won tickets to see the panto today. It was Beauty and the Beast. I love the shows Mercury Theatre put on and this one didn’t disappoint.
Day 5
Since we have moved into our new house all we talk about is this smart meter. Our house is electric only and uses an air source heat pump. So we have lots of debate about how much it will cost us. Today was a good day.
Day 6
We spotted this post box topper today to celebrate the New Year. I think the glasses and bottle were meant to be standing up but it is still very impressive.
That was our 2023 Week 1 adventure.
You had quite the year last year, no wonder you couldn’t find time to keep up.
Well done to Little E with her dinner and all the salad, my two were only eating beige food after Christmas and into the new year. lol
It looks like you had a great week. Fab photos. x
I hope the house move went smoothly for you all. We keep checking our smart meter and it encourages us to locate appliances and lights that need switching off. There are some fab knitted postbox toppers around our way also
Happy new year! Well done on the panto ticket win, good start to the year. #project365
Frinton looks like a gorgeous spot for a walk. Glad you had a nice time seeing the panto. Love the new year post box topper. It must be hard to get things like that to stand up well. Hope that this year will be a better one for you and your family. #project365
