A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2023 Week 26, 27 and 28. There was a lot of rushing around during these three weeks. Preparation for Little E’s dance show, the end of the school year and Little E’s birthday celebrations. She turned nine years old and to celebrate we had an overnight stay at the LEGOLAND Winsor Hotel.
Project 365 – 2023 Week 26
Day 175
It was officially Mcdonald’s Day for us today. It’s hard to say no to these caramel-iced frappes!
Day 176
I had my eyes tested earlier in the month, my prescription has actually improved. Today we collected my new glasses.
Day 177
My mum planted some rose bushes in our garden. We had our first rose bloom today, a lovely yellow one.
Day 178
There are lots of wild poppies growing where we now live. This one was right outside our house.
Day 179
I moved on to the next book in the Divergent series. This is the second book, Insurgent. I’m enjoying reading these books. I have added more titles by Veronica Roth to my want-to-read list.
Day 180
Little E’s dance show is coming up. We went to her dance studio tonight to have some photos taken of her in her costumes.
Day 181
Dunelm is running a Disneyland Paris competition. I never win things but you have got to be in it to win it!
Project 365 – 2023 Week 27
Day 182
Little E is asking for pocket money and as most things she wants are online (Robux) I looked into getting a pre-paid card for her. Go Henery is a popular option but they charge a monthly fee. With the help of the Martin Lewis website, I discovered HyperJar. There are no fees on this card and it works the same way. Her card arrived today and she was very excited about it.
Day 183
Showtime for Little E today. She looks so grown up with her show makeup. I need to learn how to put eyeliner on correctly. I’m not very good with it being left-handed. She did amazing in her show, she performed three dances and it looked like she loved every minute of it.
Day 184
A very pink sky this evening.
Day 185
It was supposed to be Little E’s sports day today. It was cancelled last minute due to possible thunderstorms. Both Darren and I had booked the day off of work to be there to support her. We couldn’t waste our day off so brunch at Bills it was! The thunderstorms didn’t arrive until the early evening.
Day 186
A rainy ballet lesson and another chance to read my book.
Day 187
I’m flying through the Divergent series. I started reading the third book today.
Day 188
We have lived in our house for six months now. I’m keeping an eye out for our water bill. They scared me as they said our water usage was too high. It turns out they have us down as a family of two. With four people in the settings, they are happier with us. I was hoping the bill would lower our monthly payment, but as it was estimated the payments stayed the same.
Project 365 – 2023 Week 28
Day 189
Little E’s birthday request was an overnight stay in the LEGOLAND Hotel. We have stayed there before quite a few times but Little E was too young to remember. She picked a Kingdom room to stay in.
Day 190
We stayed at LEGOLAND Windsor until lunchtime. We will be back in September as we hope to show nanny around.
Day 191
A busy day of blood tests and dentist appointments for us grown-ups along with birthday preparations.
Day 192
Little E’s ninth birthday is today!
Day 193
Another rose bloomed today, a lovely red one.
Day 194
It rained again today, at least our grass got a bit of water.
Day 195
Our third and final rose bloomed today another yellow one for our garden.
