A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2023 Week 23, 24 and 25. We ended the May half-term with another visit to London. The weather turned sunny and we were able to enjoy the warm weather. I finally moved on to a new book series. I feel like I have been reading the Maze Runner books for ages.

Day 154

We went to get Ethan’s feet measured today as we thought his feet had grown. They had and we both ended up with some new trainers. I opted for memory foam shoes as we have a few days out planned with lots of walking.
Day 155

We used our Merlin passes again today to visit Madame Tussauds. I remember visiting a few times when I was a child and it has changed a lot since then. I don’t remember being able to get up close to the wax works. We had a great day and I would highly recommend a visit.
Day 156

My face cream run out so I treated myself to some new ones. Simple worked out cheaper than my normal one. Unfortunately, my skin had an allergic reaction to it even though I use the Simple face wash.
Day 157

I managed to do a run today. Week three of the 5K and it is a killer!
Day 158

I’m still reading The Fever Code, this one is a prequel to the first Maze Runner book although it is book five. I have found these books hard going. I’m not sure if it is how they are written or the fact that books two and three were so different from the films. The films had to be rewritten and swayed so far away from the books. But this book wasn’t made into a film and it still took me ages to read. I did however really enjoy book four which is also a prequel. There is another book that follows the character Newt. I would like to read it but I’m giving myself a break first.
Day 159

There was a sneaky Mcdonald’s caramel iced frappe purchased after the school run tonight.
Day 160

We had a good electricity day today, with the weather getting warmer we are using less which is great.
Project 365 – 2023 Week 24
Day 161

Ethan and his classmates were offered the Hepatitis B vaccine. He had his first one at school but we have had to book the remaining course, there are three in total. Ethan having a vaccine is a big thing. It took many attempts and three nurses for him to have his MMR booster as a toddler. We worked hard to encourage Ethan to have the covid vaccines. He still is worried about having vaccines but he doesn’t put up so much of a fight now. I wasn’t sure why he was invited to have his Hepatitis B vaccine but I now know it is something they offer in SEN schools due to the possibility of pupils biting each other.
Day 162

We visited Clacton Beach tonight, it feels like we haven’t done that for ages.
Day 163

I have a new friend on the sofa in the evenings now. Since Neo passed, his sister Trinity joins me in the evenings now.
Day 164

I ordered hayfever tablets from Tescos but they didn’t arrive as they were sold out. I sent this photo to my mum asking her to pick some up for me. She goes into the shops more than I do.
Day 165

I have finally started to read the books my brother got me for my birthday. It’s another film series that I love and I always believe books are better than the films. We will just ignore the second and third Maze Runner books. I started this book whilst waiting for Little E to do her dance class.
Day 166

Another good electricity day. They are getting lower!
Day 167

I took this photo to make sure I ordered the correct face cream I have been using. I waited for the rash on my face to clear from using the Simple products.
Project 365 – 2023 Week 25
Day 168

The children loved watching the Super Mario Brothers movie in the cinema. You can now buy it on Amazon so we treated ourselves to a family moving night.
Day 169

Father’s Day today, both children made Darren cards at school. In his excitement, Ethan might have given his card to Darren a few days early.
Day 170

Trinity licks the gravy off of her cat food leaning the meat. One of my workmates told me about lick-e-lix. Trinity has had one or two on their own but she prefers us to put them on her food.
Day 171

My phone showed thunderstorms today. Ethan was getting a little nervous about them which is strange as he has always slept through any thunderstorms that happen at night. They started just as school started. His teacher messaged me as Ethan was very worried but they did manage to keep him calm.
Day 172

Ethan’s sports day today. It was very relaxed, he just joined in with the jumping and running one race. He could then leave school early with us which he was happy about.
Day 173

I’m enjoying reading this book, yes the film stuck to the storyline but the book gives more detail and more back story.
Day 174

Ethan’s class was given Star of the Week for trying hard on sports day.
That was our 2023 Week 23, 24 and 25 adventure. You can read about weeks 20, 21 and 22 here.
What a fantastic catch up!
Madame Tussauds sounds like great fun and I am loving seeing how little gas & electric we’re using now it’s warmer. x
My hubby has read the Divergent books but I haven’t yet. My parents are obsessed with their utility meters but we never check ours. #project365
Looks like you had a fun day out at Madame Tussauds. I haven’t been there in years. Hope Ethan was ok with his first Hepatitis B vaccine. Lovely photo of Little E on the beach and of Ethan doing his sports day. Hope you’re enjoying your new book series. #project365
