A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2021 Week 52. The week that we celebrate Christmas and I have no idea what the day is. I even got confused when New Year’s Eve was, not that we had any big plans to welcome in the New Year. I haven’t had to think about work and I was able to keep my work Mac switched off the whole time.
Project 365 – 2021 Week 52
Day 359
The excitement that Santa has been. There weren’t as many gifts this year which confused Ethan but that is because they both got Nintendo Switches. He loves the opening of gifts rather than what’s inside. But as they get older the gadgets they want will cost more than the toys. They did get everything they wanted on their lists so everything turned out OK.
Day 360
We had a busy Boxing Day spent with grandparents. Such a contrast from last year. I took this photo of the children when everyone had left. Playing Animal Crossing together on their Switches.
Day 361
As we had a buffet lunch yesterday, today I made our Boxing Day dinner today. We have cooked ham, mash, pigs in blankets, stuffing and pickles. This dessert was a chocolate mousse. We were meant to have this on Christmas Day but I also picked up mini Rulhoph cakes from Marks and Spencers which was the firm favourite for Christmas Day.
Day 362
We finally made it to my brother’s house for a visit. We had to cancel our last trip when Ethan caught covid. I honestly thought they would put restrictions in place so we wouldn’t be able to visit again. Little E loves her Christmas gift of cat ear headphones. The lights flash and everything.
Day 363
With both children having Lites I can finally claim my Switch back from Ethan. I will be able to start my Ring Fit Adventure journey again. I might also be building my own island on Animal Crossing.
Day 364
Ethan was desperate to create his Lego gift today. This is the first full lego set that he has ever built on his own. He did need some support from me with the little bits but he followed all of the instructions himself. Even when Little E needed my time Ethan carried on building it by himself.
Day 365
Ethan made sure Little E built her Lego gift today. He wouldn’t leave his sister alone until it was made. Little E needed more help than Ethan. Lego doesn’t quite hold her attention yet.
That was our 2021 Week 52 adventure. You can read about our weeks 49, 50 and 51 here.
It looks and sounds like you had a great Christmas. Lovely photos. Hooray for the Lego. Well done Ethan.
Happy new year x
Looks like Santa was very generous to Ethan and Little E! Love the Lego sets, and well done to Ethan for building the Lego set on his own! I’ve seen those chocolate mousse cones in M&S, they look so festive. The earphones are super cool. Glad you managed to see your brother finally.
Lovely you were able to see family over Christmas, well done Ethan with the lego kit building, he looks rather proud of himself
Well done Ethan on his first Lego set build. We too had less presents for my son this year and I can see it being just money from family next year too. Happy New Year to you guys x #365
Love the Disney Lego builds. We got a switch lite to go with our switch but it has hardly been used apart from the first couple of days! #project365
Happy belated Christmas sounds like you had a wonderful festive break and so good that you kept off the MAC book. I made a conscious effort to do the same. Glad they got everything on their lists. Love the Micky and Mini lego sets. Happy New Year
Ethan and Little E look very happy with their new Nintendo Switches. Sophie loves Animal Crossing too. Glad you were able to visit your brother. I love Little E’s cat headphones. Ethan looks very happy with his finished Lego gift – well done to him on managing to build it on his own. Love that he was so keen for Little E to do hers too! The finished results look fab. Happy new year to you all. #project365
Yes its harder isn’t it when the big presents cost so much, mine still feel like they want lots of presents to accompany them but its not always possible. Your chocolate mousse looks fab, was it nice? Well done Ethan with your LEGO.
