A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2023 Week 13, 14 and 15. We were able to make some plans over the past weeks. The children have been on their easter holidays and we have some time off with them. This gave us some time together as a family and some time to do some house bits.
Project 365 – 2023 Week 13
Day 84
It was my birthday today. Darren was working and Ethan was at his club. So I took Little E on our girlie day out for lunch. When Darren came home we have my birthday cake. Which Darren sorted out by himself. We never really do much on our birthdays as we are always saving for something but we always have a cake to mark the day.
Day 85
The tulips Darren brought home for my birthday are starting to open nicely.
Day 86
A busy day of work and clubs for us. I took a photo of this tulip as I love the colour.
Day 87
Darren stopped by today en route to collect some of the furniture we had in our garage that we didn’t have a home for in our new house.
Day 88
It was the last day of Ethan’s after-school club today. It wasn’t awarded any funding for it to continue. I brought the girls some chocolate to say thank them for all they have done.
Day 89
It was a good electricity day. Nearly 6 pm and we still hadn’t hit £5.00.
Day 90
I finally started the fourth book in The Maze Runner series. I really struggled reading the third book, The Death Cure. It was very different from the films which I found hard to relate to it. I think I like the Maze Runner films too much. Normally I read the books before the film and find the films are missing things but The Scorch Trails and The Death Cure are set in completely different places.
Project 365 – 2023 Week 14
Day 91
Nana and Pappy visited today with the children’s Easter gifts. They also got them these great woollen gonks.
Day 92
We went for a walk today. I wanted to get the children on their bikes but Ethan was suddenly scared of his. Possibly because we are in a different area now.
Day 93
I had a busy day at work today. A team member on holiday and a four-day week is always a fun combination. I had friends to help me through the day.
Day 94
Work is keeping me on my toes this week. I really needed my afternoon tea and chocolate fix.
Day 95
A long day at work for me today.
Day 96
Another long work day. I was glad when I was able to sit on this sofa with this cup of tea after sending the last of my emails for this week.
Day 97
Easter weekend and we are staying in Hemsby for the weekend.
Project 365 – 2023 Week 15
Day 98
We hired a boat for the day on the Norfolk Broads with our friends. It was the first time I have visited the Broads and we had a lovely day. I’m not sure if I could do a seven-night holiday sailing there though. I know people highly recommended the experience.
Day 99
Being we were so close, we took the children to Bewilderwood today. It has been a place I have wanted to take the children for a while. They had lots of fun climbing, going to the zip wires and down the slides. It wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be being that it was Easter Sunday.
Day 100
Our weekend away was a nice mix of activity for the children and some downtime for us. I finished reading The Kill Order. I really enjoyed this book, I was worried that I would struggle after not getting on with the last book.
Day 101
The start of a week off of work for both Darren and myself. Today was spent sorting out life admin. I also started the last of my Maze Runner books.
Day 102
We had an Ikea delivery today. I was meant to take Little E to a play date but she was poorly for most of the week. So we spent today building.
Day 103
Our building is complete.
Day 104
I haven’t been feeling 100% lately. I had a doctor’s appointment earlier in the week and she booked me in for some blood tests today so we can rule out different things.
That was our 2023 Week 13, 14 and 15 adventure. You can read about weeks 11 and 12 here.
Happy belated birthday. Hope you get some answers from your blood tests.
Loving the cabinets – really nice colour too.
Love the tulips – they are such pretty flowers and that one in the photo is a gorgeous colour. The woollen gonks are so cute. Looks like Ethan and Little E enjoyed sailing on the Norfolk Broads and visiting Bewilderwood. Sorry to hear that Little E was poorly. Hope she is feeling better now and that you get some answers from your blood test results. #project365
Happy Belated birthday the tulips look lovely. I love those monks, where did you get them from? Nice to get away on holiday, I’m not too familiar with Norfolk. Good job with the furniture assembly.
